Societe Mondiale du Vin is the affiliated wine organization of the Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs. The focus of this component society is the appreciation of wine and crafted beverages. Societe Mondiale encourages the collection and dissemination of information on wines and quality spirits as well as the enjoyment, understanding and procurement of fine beverages. Societe Mondiale provides a means for mutual sharing and enjoyment among those who appreciate fine beverage, as well as those professionals who are beverage oriented. The membership of Societe Mondiale is comprised of those individuals who are dedicated to promoting the education and enjoyment of wine and quality spirits as a vital part of the dining experience. The Kansas City Societe Mondiale du Vin section is directed by the Vice-Echanson who is responsible for organizing wine dinners and tastings during the year. Two to four events are held annually. Membership in Societe Mondiale requires current Chaîne de Rôtisseurs membership and dues for Societe Mondiale are in addition to standard Chaine and Chapter dues.
